We all have candida yeast in us. It's part of our normal flora. The debate is does it sometimes overgrow into relatively minor oral and vaginal infections and the rarely systemic life-threatening bloodstream infection in high-risk patients, or does it routinely become "chronic" as described by some in alt medicine that's somewhat in-between the two.
I think the evidence clearly shows the alt medicine diagnoses is just symptoms of malnutrition and that's why there can be so many symptoms attributed to "chronic candida" and why all the other health conditions attributed to it are also conditions of malnutrition or a compromised immune system, which is also caused by malnutrition.
