Re: Sugar and turpentine

About a year or so ago I read on a forum somewhere else that turpentine was once a key ingredient used in a popular and well-known over-the-counter health product/salve (think of the vapor stuff mothers used to rub on the chests of their sick children). I don't recall the specifics, but the amount of turpentine contained an in a 2-ounce bottle of this remedy was very small, maybe just a drop or so...... but this small amount was seemingly effective! Sometime in the last several years, the manufacturer revised their receipe and removed turpentine.
