Fruits and vegetables are great for cleansing, alkalizing, detoxing. But beware this is a experimental diet that our ancesters never grew up on. For the majority of people this can be great for short term detox but long term can cause unbalance to occur. Ive done the vegan raw diet so i can tell from experience that for the average joe who cant afford to lose weight to look elsewhere. (ive lost too much weight on this diet.) i didnt include 30 bananas a day (as frelea and durian rider says to do, i think thats just ridicules AND dangerous to do so.) with that much Sugar you would have to do vigorus excersise or you could add too much fat on you or worse end up in a coma from all the Sugar overload. (think pancreas)
If someone were to adventure in the raw food world i would suggest eating more raw fats and less fruits. As well as a good balance with raw protein. Even better is to look into raw animal foods. Raw animal foods provide the greatest health benefits. It Builds, repairs, helps secrete HGH, cleanses, detoxify, strengthens, etc. Finding a balance somewhere inbetween the two is a good start.
