AF , ADHD and Sulbutiamine. Am I making a mistake?

Hi,
I'm withdrawing from ADHD meds after realizing that I've had Adrenal Fatigue for many years. I've been quite overmedicated for many psychiatric problems such as depression, ADHD and anxiety. I suffered a major breakdown two years ago which nearly cost me my life. My recovery seemed very rapid and successful since then until I tried to stop all the meds I was on.
I got extremely depressed when I stopped taking Ritalin. I had no interest in anything whatsoever, no motivation, no energy which is partially due to AF itself and the stimulants withdrawl. Unfortunately I was getting worse and worse, not better as I expected after a couple of months. Finally I couldn't take it anymore and went back on Ritalin which helped for a couple of days and then caused a severe adrenal crash which doesn't surprise me...So I felt stuck in this perpetual withdrawl/crash cycle: I can't take stimulants because of the AF but without them I can't recover from it because I'm so depressed that I just want to die...
Ther is a mind-body connection here, so you have to stay positive to be able to get better. Also I was only getting better so far because I was doing yoga with emphasis on meditation, pranayama and the spiritual developement. After I got off the stimulants I can't do yoga or meditation because I'm so weak, bitter and negative all the time. So, essentially I'm unable to help myself any further.
My AF symptoms are quite severe at this point with most prominent being brain fog and hypoglycemia which both cause this lack of mental energy to enable me to stay positive and motivated.
So I statred to do some research on nootropics and found some interesting stuff on a compound called Sulbutiamine which is a synthetic derivative of B1 vitamine. It works on dopamine by decreasing its production and simultaneously increasing the number of the receptor-sites in the brain as a compensatory response. There is not enough research on it so all the information seems to be quite contradictory about the precise mechanism of action but overall it is considered a mild stimulant. The reason why I jupmed on it right away is that it is supposed to upregulate reticular activating system responsible for MOTIVATION which is exactly the issue I'm struggling with. I ordered it right away praying it would work ...
And it did!!! I've been taking 600 mg every morning for 5-6 days and the results are amazing! My brain fog lifted, my mood improved immensely and most importantly that heavy lethargic Depression subsided so I feel I can breathe again. It takes a lot less mental effort to do things like take a shower, wash dishes or take a walk.
So far I don't have any significant side effects from Sulbutiamine (600mg taken in the morning) but I don't know how it might affect me long term.
Taking any dopaminergic agent having AF is very dumb idea and I'm well aware of that. I don't particularly notice any stimulating effect in terms of physical energy but it could be that it's just very subtle and I didn't notice since I'm so extremely tired after Ritalin withdrawl. For now it's literally a life saver for me but I wanted to ask if anyone has any experience taking this stuff long term? Or does it have any hidden dangers in the context of adrenal-related issues?
It appears to me that I have some dopamine deficiency in the brain which downregulates HPA axis and makes me feel so depressed and unmotivated via its CNS manifestations. I read somewhere once that low central dopamine would elevate cortisol as means of general adaptation which would result in cortisol depletion overtime. This explains why so many people have ADHD and resulting AF.
I don't know if I'm making another mistake with Sulbutiamine or is it acceptable to take something like that to correct the dopamine problem in the brain? Without addressing the lack of dopamine first it doesn't seem likely that I'm going to recover at all...

I'd appreciate some ideas about this and does any of you have a similar problem with motivation?

Thanx
Wish you all well

Amber
