Adelle Davis wrote in 1962 in her book 'Let's get well' a small chapter about intestinal worms and parasites in general. She writes that if one lacks vitamins A, B1, B2, biotin, folic acid and other nutrients, the system get overrun by parasites, especially in the liver, which needs vitamin A reserves in order to stay healthy. Animal testing had shown that worms implanted in healthy animals have not survived.
She's was a big supporter of home-made yogurt, desiccated liver, brewer's yeast and saltwater for the adrenals. She was hugely influential in the 60s and 70s but then fell out of grace when she died of cancer at the age of 70. Same story as Hulda. She was clearly onto something.
I'm still waiting for the worms to get the hell out of my liver.
