Re: Withdrawal from Serafem (SSRI)

BTW...Serafem is indeed the same medication as Prozac and marketed by the same pharmaceutical company (Eli Lilly)...the only difference is the name and the color of the caps...and the price! Serafem has been marketed to doctors as a treatment for PMDD...pre-menstrual dysphoric disorder...a more severe form of PMS. If your doctor prescribed Serafem for you for panic attacks, anxiety or depression...I would suggest that you find yourself another doctor!!! Prozac no longer holds a patent...which are the politics behind re-marketing it as Serafem, complete with a brand new patent...and Prozac can be purchased in a generic form for a greatly-reduced price. A doctor who is prescribing Serafem for panic attacks, anxiety or depression...and not for PMDD...is simply helping the pharmaceutical companies steal money out of your pocket!!!
