My upper left side has been throbbing for a few months now, and no one knows what it is. It is worse when I lay down. It throbs along with my heart beat, and doctors/acupuncturists/naturopaths have told me that I am feeling my abdominal aorta, but this is not normal. For a while, I thought it was my stomach, but I have tried several things for stomach inflammation and nothing helped. My digestion is so much better than it used to be (I had systemic candida and parasite infections a few years ago), but the throbbing has not gotten any better. My doctor thinks that my iron and ferritin levels are too low, so maybe it is my spleen that is throbbing? If it is working too hard, would it be inflammed? My iron and ferritin levels are usually low. I eat red meat and liver at least twice a week, and I started eating it with berries (for the Vitamin C) recently. Are there any food combinations that are good to raise iron and ferritin levels? What about supplements? I have found bovine spleen on amazon. Is that helpful?
