Have you excluded an Hpilory infection?
Or similar. It's common culprit these days especially with gerd.
After years of having gerd and bile reflux I've discovered hpilory and giardia. Both had subclinical symptoms until they explode
Might be a cause.
AF could definitively cause low HCl but might be better to exclude an infection
