CFS paitents seem to all have HPA dysfunction and low cortisol according to many studies...CFS used to mean 'tired all the time' but now they report that it can include 'being wired' and hormonal abnomalities etc. ME studies that sufferers will experience adrenaline surges, days where they can do everything and then crash, lots of similarities. Hummingbirds think that ME can be diagnosed though from SPECT scans of the brain.
Im happy for my GP to send me down the Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome route and its what im pushing for..although there is no treatment, at least I would have a diagnosis that people would understand and believe...and I might get some assistance with the rent and bills if i actually have a 'proper' illness. I think early stage AF is AF, but once you get into the 3's and are housebound etc, then it becomes CFS, the more serious of the two?
