Angie,
it all depends on your taste.

In fact, you might want to experiment creating your own perfumes the way they were made in old times - that should be fun.

I did discover an interesting smell by an accident - I wish I wrote it down.

I can tell you what oils I am crazy about:

Geranium, Ylang Ylang, Bergamot, Vanilla, and many many more ... I buy a few oils each month - I feel like Cleopatra (or almost like her).

Best thing would be to get a book, if you like to experiment. It's a Science - middle notes, heavy oils, etc. Old times women used to wear a different oil for different times of the day, occasions, etc.
