alpha-1 antitrypsin & liver

After 8yrs of various health problems and not feeling normal, I FINALLY discovered the problem. I have the "SZ" phenotype of Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and my liver enzyme ALT has been consistently elevated 55-95 since 2004 at least...I also have 2 recent liver ultra sounds that show liver and spleen slightly enlarged.

My Albumin is slightly above normal (which the doctors say is good sign) and due to knowing something was wrong, I have been taking liver support supplements for the last few years. I am going for a liver biopsy in a week or so to see the exact state of my liver.

I need to know what supplements I should take and is there any way to normalize the garbage antitrypsin my liver is cranking out? I have read a vague source that stated grape seed extract might help with this...I just found out I am gonna be a daddy and I need to manage this disease!

Also, my IGF-1 level is too low for my age...I have watched it drop 100pts in less than 2yrs and it was low then...I ASSUME this is because all my HGH is being used up for repair? I have low testosterone since age 33 and I am 37 now...I might go ahead and start testosterone replacement in hopes to raise the HGH levels because I have read they are related.

Please help and at the very least tell me a good protocol for A1AD..thx!
