I was so surprised and sorry that NO ONE answered your post.
I don't know if you will see this but I wanted to try and help if I could anyway.
I found out last year that I have an alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency, which I'm not sure is the same thing you are writing about. I would think if you have a deficiency in something you would need more of it not less. So I'm a little confused.
I do know that I have had trouble for many years with allergies, candida, and an accumulation of toxic metals. I knew I had a problem with my liver.
I have done many liver cleanses, but things didn't seem to improve a whole lot. I have also had some allergies eliminated by having NAET treatments. They worked great, but to only to a point.
I started having major problems with my memory, and had several years of chelation treatments with DMSA to remove toxic metals. Mercury was high but my lead level was so high it was off the chart. Don't want to scare anyone but if you have alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency it might be a good idea to stay away from chocolate. I know it can have lead in it. Actually try to stay away from any toxic metals. Right now my memory is much better.
Years ago I changed my diet and eliminated wheat and corn, all sodas, most sugars. Find out what you are allergic to. I'm sure you know what is a healthy diet, so I won't go on.
Right now I'm seeing a nutritionist, that has an Asyra computer machine, to help me know what supplements are working for me. She said My liver wasn't methylating and that methyl B12 and methyl folate would be helpful. I'm still working with her.
Sorry this turned out so long, I didn't mean it to. Hope some of this is helpful and maybe someone else can give us some advise.
Good luck!
P.S. Milk thistle always made my liver feel better after I ate chocolate.
