Re: Sauna's Help

Hi Hally thank you for your reply: Unfortunately and obviously you don't have TMAU. Those of us who do, know the frustration of being "squeeky clean", and regularly having many "good scrub downs" from head to toe sometimes 3 or more times a day, TMAU sufferers also practice good oral hygiene; even so we still smell like feces, rotten fish, rotten cabbage and all the other "terms of endearment" connected with this defective gene disorder. We the sufferers of TMAU, be it primary or secondary or other like disorders truly wish that it was that easy, we wish it was that simple as getting a "good scrub down" or sweating out our pores in a sauna. By the way Hally in my case sweat intensifies the strong foul odor of TMAU. Sweating is the last thing I wanted to do; that is before I started drinking black tea. Now, I don't worry if I sweat, drinking black tea in preparation, before for a 5-10 minute workout or before I walk up and down my stairs, will eliminate the foul odor. And after I shower, a half hour later I'm not smelling, in fact I'm fresh all day I'm smellin' fresh and invigorated from head to toe; I feel like my showers or baths are really working. You see Hally, TMAU sufferers have a mutation in the human FMO3 GENE (don't ask me what that means), which accounts for the strong feces or spoiled fish, dead fish, etcetra smell. Please go to this site in your spare time and you will understand the pain and frustration that TMAU sufferers experience, and endure on a daily basis.
abcnews.go.com>Primetime. It talks about the model who smelled like dead fish. Also, go to YouTube and type in TMAU or trimethylaminuria and you will see a lot of information on this terrible affliction or ailment. Hally, I thank you and commend you for your sincere reply concerning information that could possibly help or improve the 'lot' of those who suffer from TMAU and the like. Please take care.
