Need help on how to save my tooth

I desperately need your help. I went to the dentist on September 2012 to fill a very deep cavity. It was tooth number 14 on the meridian tooth chart. Before filling the cavity I was in serious pain.

I dont know if this was from my wisdom teeth pushing or if it was the cavity. So i got the cavity filled. The dentist said that if I have anymore pain I need a root canal concerning that tooth. Now I told the dentist I dont want a root canal I rather have the tooth pulled. He said that is not a good idea.

I also read that when you have the tooth pulled the bone in the jaw gets weaker. I dont want a root canal because that will just tax my immune system.

I went to get a second opinion since I have been feeling some pain on and off and just to make sure that I dont need a root canal. So I am going 4 months after I got this filling done in September. I went to go see a holistic dentist. I dont get pain when I chew. Its basically pain when I dont eat it comes and goes.

During my dental appointment the holistic dentist said that the cavity I got filled was indeed very deep. And that she sees a little space where the cavity was filled when she did an x-ray. She said its best to redo the cavity. So they would take out the original filling and fill it in right and it would give them a good idea if I would need a root canal or not in the future.

I told her im not comfortable with the idea of root canals but she said they are not that bad. I will have to do my research so any posts and links on root canals will be greatly appreciated.

She said the bone health of my teeth look fine. My gums there is a little bit of receeding due to gingivitus.

Since I suffer from Ulcerative Colitis which is a digestive issue I told her about my diet. Lots and lots of fresh fruits, green juices. No dairy, no meat. She looked stunned.

She said to limit my diet to 1 fruit per meal. She said that the sugars in the fruit can bring on new cavities. But my one meal consists of 6 to 10 bananas. She said the sugars from the fruit can also create new cavities. I am also 30 years old. I am trying to turn to a more natural diet with only fruits and veggies maybe vegan.

So what can I do to heal this tooth? Is it too late? Has the dammage been done and do I remove the tooth? I ordered Barefoot herbalist tooth gum power along with his sprays.

Will oil pulling save this tooth I have now? Can i boost my immune system for it to kill the infection in my tooth? Im guessing that is what is causing my tooth to hurt. They ran this machine to see if my thooth is dead or not. And its not dead it is still alive. So they said there is still hope.

I tried oil pulling before. But I could not get the oil to turn white so I stopped. Maybe it was the store bought oil i was using? It was organic first cold pressed sesame oil. The maker is Emile Noel. I might order some sesame oil from mountain rose herbs.

Any imput will be greatly appreciated guys. Kinda freaking out here.

My diet right now is limited due to my colitis. Im living off fruits lots of it bananas, rice, chick peas, steamed vegetables, sometimes i juice greens.

Are there any supplements i should take like cod liver oil, vitamin D, vitamin C, B12 ?

Someone just told me about Cure tooth decay by Ramiel Nagel. Are there any books I can read about oil pulling?
