Re: There's Trickieness Here

Great idea! Here is my data:

Iodine: Lugol's @ 100-150mg daily, depending on preference. I take it in my kombucha, in the morning. I did not start slow, rather on a modified schedule (e.g., 5mg, 10mg, 15mg, 30mg, 50mg) and was up to 50 by the end of the first month. After that I jumped to 75 then 100mg. If money were no issue i would honestly still be playing up with my doses, but gotta make that $30 bottle last a month...
ordering SSKI with magnets after next pay check.
as for the thyroid, well it seems to be helping mine, gauging by symptoms. the free T3 and T4 still indicate hypothyroid, but its only been about 4 months on the protocol. the endocrinologist also said i had a nodule at my exam last week, which she of course wants to ultrasound. i'm not worried about it.

vitamin D: deficient status, according to bloodwork a few months back. i do take fermented cod liver oil which has some D (i'm taking it to prepare for pregnancy) which i believe is helping, but no super doses or anything. i get 10-15min of sun a day (dependent upon weather) but i live in a grey and dreary part of the US unfortunately.

diatomaceous earth: i've toyed with the idea for metal detox, but haven't yet committed.

amalgam fillings: way too many were implanted as a non-consenting child, i had no clue what was being placed in my mouth. i am still angry about that. had the final Amalgams out two weeks ago, and had a rough recovery immediately after. still glad they are gone though.

borax: it's on my list, just trying to find a source that doesn't label the product as "not for ingestion". any input? mountainroseherb was recommended by Ginagirl but their site has the same stamp of 'do not ingest'. perhaps this is all part of the anti-health propaganda.

silver: no experience here other than my preference for silver jewelry over gold ;)

flu shots: no thanks. i was coerced a few years back, through a university clinic, when my practicum supervisor recommended it for all grad assistants working in clinics and schools. of course that was the year i got the flu.

water: well water, reverse osmosis.
