The little port on the 8004 is perfect for a carrot, rolled up leafy greens, or Celery sticks. You will have to cut up some things like apples but it is barley noticeable.

The VERT has a bigger port but you have to cut up stringy leafy greens, Celery into very small pieces to keep it from clogging. And if you feed it too quickly it will clog up. The 8004 will gobble up all those whole with no effort.

The only thing you have to watch for on the 8004 is if you juice something like lemons one after another it will clog up the juice outlet after 4 or so lemons. But you also have to rotate produce with the Vert to clear out the pulp.

The Vert is the best for the cantaloupe - carrot drink though. And maybe a few others.

I haven't really found anything the 8004 won't juice well yet.
