Like said above, I don't think the leaving alone method is the best way to heal. Even if it does, considering the hypothesis that the EC, for some, is due to repeated trauma then compulsive rubbing, the use of certain products can do it very faster.

The key would be to not cause any further trauma like a lot of people was used to continue while using products, including me.

I really don't believe that flakes are crusts, simply just excessive skin which piles up because of a cellular renewal too fast due to picking, then rubbing, so making these flakes falling off earlier wouldn't be harmful inasmuch as no trauma is caused.

This point asks a lot of precaution. Like said, if you want to put some product while lips are wet, it can rip off the flakes so each one has his technique. Tweet
