Bartholins Cyst: Are you too looking for a cure?

After 3 weeks of wondering what was developing under the skin of my left labia, my OB Gyn diagnosed me with what I consider the devil : BARTHOLINS CYST!

Well, on Dec 5, 2012, I started searching for a cure for the large grape size cyst. I found a mix of the following helped to end this nightmare.

On Jan 4, 2012 I had a 30 minute sitz bath, in very warm water.

I placed a small, moist, towel in a plastic bag and heated the towel to a temp I could stand. Then, I soaked a cotton ball in witch hazel, calamine lotion, and melted vasaline. The ingridients were measured to be a little more than an ounce each.

I placed the cotton ball against the wall of the cyst. I placed another towel over my pubic area (to prevent scalding) and placed heated towel as close to the cyst as I could. For me, the heat and the tylenol allowed me to rest for the night.

Twelve hours later, Jan 5, 2012, the cyst burst. I was prepared for it, and I'm glad I was. There was alot of pus/blood afterwards. The cyst drained completely, and NO MORE PAIN!
