Thats so great to hear your treatment worked!
Similarly, I've been infected with scabies twice. The first time I used permethrin. The second time, I was able to spot it quickly. However, I really did not want to use the permethrin, so I instead sought out different methods as well. I did a three day intensive treatment, where I showered with sulfur soap (10% sulfur, and actually smelled pretty good!) I would rub this into a very thick lather. And then let it sit for awhile. Then, after the shower, I would put on either lotion I mixed with neem oil, or a sulfur cream I bought. (I alternated to give my skin a break). Then The next morning I would shower again with the sulfur soap. And then put on the neem oil or sulfur cream. After three days of this, most of the itching was completely gone. Not like with the permethrin cream where it actually created even more itching! Anyway, so of course I washed all my clothes in hot water. For a couple weeks afterwards, I found that sometimes little bumps would pop up. As if I was getting reinfected. I responded to that by putting pure neem oil (without lotion). On just those parts. And it killed them. So I just did that for a couple weeks. And I didn't infect anyone else, including my housemates, or boyfriend. So that is another option, but I'm glad you have enlightened me to yours as well. Thanks! Tweet
