Water fast to detox from addictions?

I am considering doing a Water Fast to detox, from my diet coke addiction. I know it may sound silly, but I have a bad diet coke addiction, I drink up to 4 of the 2 liter bottles a day, and I know all the dangers of Aspartame but can't stop.

How well does Water Fasting work for addictions? Going cold turkey on water, should fix it, anyone have any experience using Water Fasting to cure addictions? Tweet
