Yes, peeling and crusting is not the same. While using the "leave alone" method, I would get BIG crusts that would eventually fall and the cicle would start again.. If I was licking my lips constantly, or exfoliating (thank god I stopped that) I would quickly get peeling lips, like white skin that would deattach from my lips.

Trust me, lip balm cannot possible stop this altogether! Otherwise, non of us would be so worried! I definitly do not want to risk my lips getting dry -> damaged -> EC.
