Could water-fasting be a treatment for hemochromatosis?

Phlebotomy is the only known treatment for Hemochromatosis. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I am unable to safely donate blood regularly. So I have come to ask you earnestly for your honest advice. I am not sure if any metals at all (mercury, lead, aluminum, etc.) are eliminated to any extent during a water fast, so this question is a shot in the dark for me. Thanks in advance for contributions small and large.

(Hemochromatosis is the accumulation of iron in bodily tissues potentially causing many complications.)
