600mcg is nothing.
If you are serious about supplementing iodine, you want to take the companions with it.
Iodine must be taken with 1500 mg vitamin C 2 times per day to repair the Sodium/Iodide Symporter (NIS) problem. MOre maybe necessary to detox bromides.
1/2 tsp of Celtic Sea salt needs to be taken with 16 oz of water to flush out bromide while taking iodine.
Flushing Bromide also, must be done with graves.
200 mcg Selenium, as selenomethionine, must be used with iodine to prevent hashimoto's from graves or hypo to hashimoto's. Selenium attaches to mercury and keeps it out of our tissues.
300-600 mg magnesium oxide (Iodine Investigation Project participants prefer magnesium glycinate or magnesium citrate.)
