Re: Gallbladder Sludge
Hi,
I am not officially diagnosed with gallbladder sludge, but it looks like I might have it (symptoms and results of
Liver-Flush point to that). 14 years ago I was diagnosed with biliary dyskinesia (gallbladder has difficulty expelling bile), so I believe sludge is pretty much the result of it. I tried regular
Liver-Flush and it just felt like it didn't work completely, so I modified a few things.
Adding red beets and cascara sagrada tea improved my LF's greatly. Besides little stones now there are huge amounts of dark clay-like gelatinous mass (which I suppose is old thickened bile, or sludge - correct me if I'm wrong here).
On the day when I do the
Liver Flush I eat lots of apples (raw or baked). In the evening I mix cascara sagrada tea with
Epsom Salt and lemon juice all in one container and take the solution late at night and then continue next morning. Then in the afternoon I have lots of beets. They are pretty bland in taste, so it's worth to mix some olive oil and lemon juice and salt, or any other dressing.
I have noticed that beets improve the
Liver Flush tremendously. They are a general remedy for
Colon Cleanse and liver cleanse in Eastern Europe. They can be eaten whenever not just while LF-ing, just like you would any other vegetable. Try them and you'll be amazed.
Cascara sagrada tea stimulates the gallbladder to expel bile, cleanses small intestine, helps to get rid of candida overgrowth and is a non-habit-forming laxative. I boil 1 Tbsp of dry cascara sagrada in 1
quart of water for 15 min, cool it and drink it.
I do LF's twice a month. According to Dr. Malakhov, our liver has it's own cycles and is most active and "ready to be cleansed" right before the full moon and right before new moon. So,
Liver-Flush is best done 12-14 lunar day, or 26-28 lunar day.
I also follow recommendation for proper gallbladder functioning - never drink cold beverages as they spasm the gall bladder; drinking warm broth or herbal tea before a meal actually stimulates the gallbladder to release bile.
I hope this info helps.
