Re: Ayurvedic diet is working to cure candida

the only problem with ayurveda is that for my dosha type (vata) it suggests a lot of things i cant do like wheat/oats (gluten) and it says i should eat rice when i've been trying to stay away from grains. it also says to consume dairy which i will not. for meat it recommends fish (which i eat) and turkey/chicken which i dont like. it says not to eat lamb which i love, although i only eat it occasionally. raw food is meant to be avoided but i try to eat some salads with leafy greens. fruits are the sweet ones higher in Sugar while i tend to eat apples/pears, plus they are in season.

other than that i pretty much eat for vata.... lots of cooked vegetables, stews, herbal and red teas. most of the things listed for vata are what i love, sweet potatoes, parsnips, turnips, beets, rutabaga, green beans, carrots, daikon, squash, zucchini, onions, cucumber. i eat lots of those!

some of the listed foods also differ a bit according to the site.
