I don't think u can overdose because iodine leaves the body after 24-48 hours.

Oral overdose would taste nasty or really upset the stomach if u were able to take that much.

In trials where there was goiter with high dose iodine, once they stopped the iodine, the goiters went away.

This would only be a temporary effect until the thyroid stabilizes.
