George Weger MD had this to say: "tapeworms can be starved (fasted) out, and they will not again infest an intestinal tract that is kept sanitary by right food and living."

The same could be said for the Ascaris infection or roundworm. John Tilden MD stated that: "all that is necessary to get rid of these worms is to correct the diet and to secure sufficient rest for recovery". He recommended a week on fruit, with no eating between meals.
