Yes, you need to take a urine mycotoxin test and an FID(fungal identification) urine test, so that they know how to treat you. They also need a CBC and Metabolic Panel blood test. This indicates kidney and liver functions. You do not need a mold sample from environment. I do because this may have happened at my work place, since they are doing mold remediation. I had an ERMI(Environmental Relative Mold Index)done to our home and had a very good report. No mold in this home!If you go to Mold Treatment Center of America (MTCA) website, they do have the information there. I am on a strict diet, must do a colonic flush, have nasal spray to get rid of my fungal balls in nose, ear drops, because I have pain in ears,nebulizer for lungs, supplements (vitamins high doses), herbal medicine and I must take Itraconazole (antifungal medicine) twice daily x 10 days. I have been exposed long term. My mycotoxin test came out positive for trichothecene and also Ochratoxin. The FID is not done, takes 24-30 days, but I did receive a preliminary reading that showed Cryptococcus.
Mold does not like an alkaline environment, so they make there environment acidic.I was evaluated by Nurse Practioner, Dr. Kang, received acupuncture, Dr. Weekly(psychiatry), he checked my cognition. Yes, I have lost some cognition and will be lucky to regain 50%. Also received Medicupping, to open up my lymph nodes, they were blocked.
