Hi David - Unfortunately most MD's are useless for diagnosing and treating AF because it's not part of the allopathic medical paradigm. For example they usually recommend the blood test for diagnosing that condition, rather than the saliva test which is far more sensitive and accurate. I suggest you find a good ND, and start by getting the saliva test from him/her. Be sure you find one who has a track record for treating AF successfully, because a lot of ND's are not trained well to treat this condition.
Speaking of which...the first ND I worked with diagnosed me with very severe adrenal fatigue, then started me on Seriphos and some other supplements for my AF. None of them made a damm bit of difference for me, and my AF got worse while I was working with her. I then started working with another ND who told me that Seriphos and the other supplements I was taking were not strong enough to make a difference for severe cases of AF such as mine. She started me on adrenal drops and adrenal complex capsules, and I started improving dramatically as soon as I started taking them. She recovered from a very severe case of AF before she became a Doctor of Natural Medicine, which is why she was able to be so successful helping me recover from my very severe case of AF. Her name is Rose Mary Camren, and I can refer you to her if you'd like.
