Re: I have symptoms of low and high stomach acid and I've no idea what to do.
tay, I would suggest adjusting your lifestyle to rebalance your body clock and become more in-tune with nature. Ideally, try to wake up as the sun rises and get to bed before 11pm.
For example:
- 7:00am: wake-up, do a little stretching exercise, go to the toilet (BM), take a walk, take a shower, meditate
- 8:00am: eat a light breakfast, relax
- 10:00am: eat a snack with some warming ginger tea, take a walk
- 12:00pm: eat a hearty lunch (your biggest meal of the day), then sit in the sunshine, relax, read, etc. to allow your body to digest the meal
- 3:00pm: eat a snack with some warming ginger tea
- 5:00pm: take a walk, meditate
- 6:00pm: eat a light-ish dinner, sit and relax
- 7:00pm: read, listen to music, watch a movie etc.
- 8:00pm: start to 'wind down', don't do anything too mentally stimulating, perhaps do some simple chores like washing clothes, take a bath
- 10:00pm: go to bed, enjoy a restful sleep
I know this may sound a little hippy-dippy, but I believe it's important to respect nature's clock. Staying up until the early hours of the morning, watching movies, playing games, using the net, etc. can be very disruptive to our hormonal balance. I'm not saying you have to live like a monk every day, but perhaps just give it a try for a week or so, and see how you feel.
Here's a terrific book that explains these are other 'ancient' principles in great detail:

Best of luck!
