Iodine and Candida

Hello

I want to know if any of you have had any luck using Iodine for curing/getting rid of candida?
My girlfriend had a test done which showed she had candida and some parasites, so I was thinking that Iodine might help her, but how much, and in combination to what.

At the moment she is taking some prescription drugs that a holistic doctor has given her, but they are really just standard, and i am doubtful about their effect.
The drugs are: Metronidazol and Fluconazol. She started it yesterday, and we are adjusting our diet, to an anti candida diet.

The candida was pretty bad based on the test resultat.
the parasites are called Blastocystis hominis.

I know that this is the Iodine part of the forum, but I got some pretty good help here with my Goiter (which i got scanned a week ago, and it contained mostly fluid)

Anyway. Do you have any advice, and should I also post it in the candida section?
