I'm not aware of any real scientific studies showing that blending destroys an exact percentage of nutrients. You could argue that a Vitamix type juicer breaks down the seeds and fiber so much better that you are getting nutrients you never would have before. What about all the nutrients and fiber lost in the Pulp when juicing? And once blended the fiber protects against further oxidation. Try to juice something soft like a banana for example. You can't.
When juicing you want to stay away from large amounts of fruit because you will get a sugar spike from all the sugar. Blending in fiber will regulate the absorption of sugar.
Most vegetarians use a Vitamix over any juicer.
I might be going through a temporary fad but I have been using my USA made Vitamix 99% more than my juicer since I bought it. It's more of a meal replacement. Juicing is more of a supplement. If you are sick and can't eat whole foods a juicer is what you need.
