Re: Insomnia meds that help?
I watched this video, it is very, very good.
It is exceptionally important that when you ask about sleep medications, you report your current prescription medications, your vitamin and mineral supplements, and any issues like dental
Amalgam fillings.
Try boiled organic potatoes, right to the limit of being soft, a cup of boiled black beans or a cup of raw broccoli, also organic if you can manage it.
potatoes are high in potassium, and black beans and broccoli are high in potassium, both important in sleep.
Vitamin D3 opens up the intestinal track for mineral absorbtion, between 2,000-7,000 iu daily is safe. Calcium supplements and D3 together drives out magnesium, and the kidneys have to flush out extra much to deal with the load.
I reccommend stopping all multivitamin supplements and using organic unsufered molasses or organic maple syrup, 2 teaspoons, diluted in a mug or bowl of hot water, with 1/4- to 1/2 teaspoon
Sea Salt and some lemon juice. This mix usually tastes like V8-juice, and you dilute it with tap water as best you like. The mix I have mentioned here is for one day's use.
Generally insomnia is a case of the kidneys lacking the alkiline salts it needs for proper activity, and it comes from a diet high in calcium from dairy products and low on green vegetables and potassium foods. It also comes from a need to relieve body toxins, like cigarette smoke, stress hormones, dental filling leakages, etc. The best way to do this is:
Footbaths.
about fifty grams or four
ounces dry-weight
Bentonite cat litter, completely chemical free (no deodorizors in it), in a small cloth bag closed with rubberbands or string, thin old cotton or cloth you can see light through is best. use a deep cat-litter tray or similar tray you can fit your feet in, and fill it about one third with boiled water or hot water from the tap, and then with cold water until it feels ok to your pinkie. put the kitty litter sachet-bag in the water, and then knead it gently with your toes to release the clay into the water, until it is cloudy and pleasant.
be careful to do this with an old towel near you, and away from electronics and cables. Have a book or movie handy. Replace the cold water with hot water as necessary, and just use a mug or bucket or pan to put the colder water in.
You know when you are done when the water in the footbath looks darker and separates, the top layer looking clearer. it takes about thirty minutes.
After this you follow up with an
Epsom Salt (drug store) (magnesium salts) soak in warm water again, with cooking oil in the water, very little, about 2-3 teaspoons.
Sea Salt can also be used, but is nowhere near as effective for relaxation and cleansing. Follow-up treatment would be good at every seven days, like on saturday. again, use the molasses or potatoes with this.
That's basic detox. Don't use antioxidant products like store-bought vitamin C, they just speed things through the kidneys a bit harshly. Use fresh apples from a greengrocer, organic apples, or just regular apples from the store, to nibble on as you feel like.
