Re: surgery results

Jodi,

In the past, you mentioned that you have so many food allergies . food allergies cause inflammation in the intestines. Well, actually it is the increase in fibroblasts that cause the inflammation. If you could see a GI doctor to figure out what you could take to alleviate inflammation in intestines (decrease fibroblasts), then you might stop feeling pain in you lips. I think when intestines are inflammed, they send signal to lips to create more fibroblasts since the intestines are connected to the lips.

I am sharing this because I likely have inflammation in my intestines from celiac disease. Many people who took accutane ended up inflammatory bowel disease. If we could eliminate inflammation (decrease fibroblasts) in intestines, then I do not think a signal would be sent to lips to create more fibroblasts. People who bite their lips may have caused fibroblasts to increase in localized area of lips. MontrealHomegrown's anti-inflammatory food diet probably worked for him because his intestines are sensitive to inflammatory foods.

I hope we can discuss how to reduce inflammation in our intestines with doctors and compare results. Then, we may just need to treat the intestines instead of the lips. That is if increased fibroblasts are not caused by biting. In that case, you would only need to treat the lips.

"Theories about the cause of inflammatory bowel disease include an IgE-mediated allergic response, a bacterial infection, or a genetic component."
