Black mold, candida, parasites... what could be going on with my body?
Okay, here goes. I've been sick for 6 months now, with some good days and bad days. Doctors have blown it off and said it's anxiety since all my blood work has been normal. I don't doubt that anxiety makes it worse, but I know it's not my whole problem.
I first got sick in April, and I came down with what seemed like a virus. For about a week I had fatigue, nausea and vomiting, fever, and body aches (my ribs and back stayed really sore). I got better, then a couple weeks later I got sick again. Both times, a few days before getting sick I got these weird dizzy spells and I'd also feel flushed and just out of it. I remember being in a store with my boyfriend and I had to go out to the car because I just felt "weird."
After I got sick the second time I just never got better. For a while I'd wake up every morning and vomit, and it was just mucus or yellow bile. I also stayed dizzy and lightheaded, and had no appetite. After a while I started having some good days where I felt a lot better, but I never feel back to normal.
I did notice a lot of mold in my wall air conditioner. It was the first spring/summer I've spent in my new apartment and I didn't start feeling sick until the weather got warm, so I suspected mold. My seasonal allergies were a little worse in the spring than normal, too.
Finally, in August, I decided to stay at my dad's for a while to see if I'd get better. For the first week I felt amazing, then I started feeling awful. Since then I've gone back and forth. Is there any way it could be mold even though I was still sick after getting away from it? I was there for about two months. I'm back at the apartment now but I haven't been staying in the bedroom and the air conditioner is off anyway.
I've also suspected candida because I started getting bad dandruff in the spring, although it went away when I was at my dad's and came back when I came back here. Also, I have horrible gas pains which make me think candida or a parasitic infection.
Any help would really be appreciated. Since doctors aren't helping I'm trying as hard as I can to figure this out myself.
