It's fungus
After listening to Greg Miller, interviewed by Dr Stan Monteith,
http://emphysema-treatments.com/documents/Dec12011Interview.mp3
Greg said that the fungus takes over parts of the lungs and the lungs will expand to compensate in order to get more oxygen.
Eventually, they expand (barrell chest) and force the diaphragm down or colapse it.
This causes further problems trying to breath. It appears to tax the heart so much that heart failure is the usual end stage.
The drs with their meds, set them up for heart failure.
I had my mom on high doses of iodine but this seemed to piss off the fungus, but at least, it loosened up the mucus, so she could cough it up.
The NAC breaks the sulfide bonds in the mucus allowing it to further loosen.
It takes about 600 mg of ubiquinol and 800 iu of vitamin E to get her breathing again because it is strengthening the heart.
Not sure what else it is doing.
I know the iodine is absolutely, necessary as part of the cure, but maybe it has to be pulsed or super dosed far higher than the 16 drops of lugol's 5% I was giving my mom daily. I'm just not sure.
Thanks,
