Re: My visit to gastroenterologist

I agree. I am convinced that my system and now entire being has been severely screwed up by taking antibiotics for acne for 4 years. I stopped six years ago and ever since have dealt with chronic vaginal yeast. And for an entire year now I have dealt with chronic fatigue of some sort, have seen several doctors and naturopaths, an acupuncturist and a chiropractor. Doctors said I'm depressed and will only recommend antidepressents, and in treating my yeast would only give me a bunch of fluconazole tabs to try and "reset my ph balance." The acupuncturist pinpointed adrenal fatigue although he was not able to treat it. The naturopath also predicted adrenal fatigue and started treating with adrenal suppliments (very heavy doses) which worked!! It felt like a total miracle after 5 months of no progress. However the original symptoms (extreme fatigue, dizziness, foggy head and depression) came back after another couple days of too much physical stress without sleep. I doubled my already trippled dosage of adrenal suppliments, which was ok'd by the naturopath. And THEN finally was offered an actual lab test (the saliva one) for adrenal fatigue. It showed I do not have it, possibly due to the the sextuppled dosage of medicine I was taking, but anyway it is good that they helped. My symptoms now reflect better what I've read about candiasis. No dizziness but still fatigue and foggy head. So my main point is DON'T TAKE ANTIBIOTICS LONG TERM. I also just wanted to put my story out there in case anyone is experiencing something similar and is looking for answers. What I've read and experienced has led me to believe I had adrenal fatigue and it was fundamentally caused by candida, and I am now struggling do deal with the candida alone, which is better.. but anyway, if anyone has any more insight, please do share. Good luck with the primative state of medicine everyone. On that note, I believe medical doctors are doing the best they can. It is in medical research that we truly fail miserably because it's about the money.
