Mirena removal via hysteroscopy

I had Mirena for a little over three years. I've had so many issues come out of the blue such as anxiety attacks, weight gain, and severe mood swings. I went in to have it removed about two weeks ago but was unable to because the strings weren't where they were supposed to be. So Thursday I had to have it removed via hysteroscopy. I want to have another baby and was told that I had to avoid intercourse for a week following the procedure. My only issue now is although it's only been three days, the bleeding is relentless, I have mild cramps, and it feels like my period all over again. I hate that this has happened and that something that seemed so simple and carefree has turned into this big unwanted production in my life. I just want it to be over already!! Has anyone had their IUD removed this way and if so what was your experience like afterwards?
