There seems to be a logic abort when it comes to radiation.

Let me try and make this clear; we do NOT create radiation.

- We take some stuff out of the ground
- We may spin it and concentrate it
- This simply concentrates existing radiation
- We use it in reactors
- When done we return it back into the earth

Earths radiation did NOT increase.
IMO the best way is to use boric acid to stop fission then mix it with aggregate and cement and put it back into the mines we found it. Nothing has changed, you are not putting more radiation back, actually less.

Now we have many uranium rich areas to mine this stuff from on land but you can bet that at least several hundred sites exist in the oceans leaching radiation at a steady pace into them.

What you don't want is those rods with active isotopes crushed up and thrown into the atmosphere..that is nearly as bad as Depleted Uranium spewed all over by the Death Star.
