Finally found the root cause! Pyroluria and Lyme

I haven't posted here much, but I feel like a part of the family as I have been reading on the Adrenal Fatigue and Iodine Supp. forums for almost two years now.

Anyway, for the last three years I have been struggling with a lot of the same things you all have been going through.

Anxiety
Constant heart palpitions
Crushing fatigue
No motivation
Brain fog
Cold hands and feet
Dizziness
Overweight
Thinning hair
Lots of etc.

Anyway, about 6 months ago, I decided to get tested for high RT3 and work with a doctor over the phone to resolve it. After talking to him for awhile, he suggested I get tested for Lyme. He was the first one to suggest this and he was right, I tested positive about 4 months ago. I have been doing a little better going the natural route to fight the Lyme (lots of Iodine, Artemesinin, Cat's Claw, salt, Vit C, etc.).

I then stumbled on an article by Dr. Klinghardt talking about something I had never heard of before, Pyroluria. He mentioned that a vast majority of those with Lyme have Pyroluria. After reading the symptoms, all but 2 or 3 fit me perfectly ever since I was a kid. So, I sent in a urine test a couple of weeks ago and sure enough, on a scale of 0-10 being normal and 10-20 being borderline, my level was 23 (I do not remember the units). The results also came back with another scale with 0-250 being normal and I was 405.

So, I have started taking more zinc, started to take P5P for the first time along with Evening Primrose Oil and all my normal supplements.

I guess the takeaway from this is, if you have a lot of the symptoms of Pyroluria (best to do a web search), then you should get the test. It is less than 100 bucks and is really easy to do.
