the lovely dandelion

i love your name. i have always loved that little yellow flower, so hardy and prolific that it blooms abundantly even in the interior of alaska. i could never understand why people hate it so much that they would poison their entire lawn or buy some evil chemical spray to attack it like they were at war with the poor thing.

and now my studies show that the pretty little dandelion is one the greatest of health foods. the greens are not only rich in chlorophyl and inulin, the roots have the power to heal even cancer when properly ingested. it is the ideal food for the proper balance of gut flora, so essential to the production of B vitamins, production of energy through metabolism regulation, and keeping immune function at its peak. if the whole world blew away leaving me standing alone, i would spend my summers eating the dandelion and gathering it and drying it for winter. i am sure it will still be here, no matter what!

gee, i wonder what else there is to know about it. anyone know of uses and benefits of the flowers? what about the "milk" from the plant?
