Re: Quick heads up on my biopsy

I just came home from my derms office. It seems like she is excluding Psoriasis as a possible diagnosis and she is sticking to atopic eczema. She said that Psoriasis "works" differently (hyperkeratosis) and that it doesn't seem to be like that regarding my lips. I'm not 100% convinced though. She said that she would still use protopic to treat it.

I also gave my blood sample which is going to be tested for some (especially herpes) viruses, and I'll also get tested for HIV (which wouldn't make a lot of sense, as I guess I would have other symptoms besides my peeling lips :)). Even if one of those herpes viruses was found, there wouldn't be that much we could do, she said. We'd have to push my immune system, which I'm already trying. I'll have the results next week.

I told her that I am thinking about leaving them alone for another 8 weeks or so. If I don't see any progress until then, I will probably start something different.
