I'm not sure either but I do know when I drank city water from the tap for the most part of many years, it was before and during my infection. On occasion the chlorine on first tap use in the morning would be really strong that I had to discard the water used for making tea as it ruined the flavor and tasted awful. Possibly if the chlorine is concentrated enough for use outside household, it may well destroy eggs.

I've heard of a lack of Iodine can make the body more vulnerable, for example when I started taking Lugol's Iodine I felt realy good on it, much more energetic but it sent those paras crazy with activity which was felt all over my body, so it does something to them but not about the killing though.

Copper sulphate is a mineral that at least with some of the para species it has a negative effect on them that it was used in the past on farms etc. as a form of helminth control.
