Re: Bone broth

Hi Paulette- We buy our bones from the same farmer that we buy our organic grassfed beef. We prefer the raw beef bones as we buy them in 2lb- 2.5lb bags. Quite a substantial amount for making a good broth. A cooked chicken just doesn't have the volume if you are making lots of broth like we do.

We also save all of our bones from the table. Tbones, rib bones, turkey bones etc. We just throw them in the freezer until we are ready to make soup.

People from all cultures have been giving broth to their sick as a cure for so many diseases. I wouldn't worry too much about the fact that it is heated. If Lam is selling supplements he probably doesn't want people making broth.

The muscle wasting has more to do with adrenal function and sodium/potassium. My last report from ARL reveals that I am no longer catabolizing my own protein. I was instructed to increase dietary protein by 15% plus follow the supplement and diet program. My sodium/potassium ratio has improved in 7 months.

Here is a good article on bone broth

We simmer our broth for 24 hours.
