Hip socket cartilage torn off - conservative therapy?

Hi all

According to the MRI, the cartilage in my hip socket has torn off. This looks like a complete tear, not partial.

The surgeon suggested rest and pain management for a month to see if the hip repairs itself.

The pain is severe and I am completely immobilised. The pain gets much worse at night.

I have been applying castor oil packs, and am about to apply a comfrey root, calendula and manuka honey poultice.

Any other suggestions to promote healing would be welcome

Thank you
