DIAGNOSE ME!!! 20yr old female w/ mixed symptoms!
Hi, I'm a 20 year old female that has been to several doctors to no avail. This is my story and I really would appreciate some insight.
My whole life i was very skinny and lean, ate like a horse and didn't gain a pound. When i started high school, i started packing on the
pounds due to depression, no more activity, and overeating. 2nd year of high school t 5'7 and 135
pounds i considered myself to be "fat". My standard weight for my height was 115 pounds. I went on an exchange program, forced upon me by my parents in which i spend 3 months with a family in France. It was an absolute miserable time in my life, and the family was verbally abusive to me. They were all obese and ate horribly, and i was afraid of gaining weight. During these 3 months i developed an eating disorder. I starved, binged, purged. I came home and snapped out of it under my parents supervision. But i still struggled with fasting and calorie counting and the stress of this disease. I believe this may have caused my thyroid problem.
Fast-forward a couple more years, i am 5'7.5 and 145 pounds. My highest ever was 160.
symptoms
-anemia (i take supplements but my iron is still always very low)
-dark circles and eye bags despite plenty of sleep and water
-i've had
Acne on my back since puberty
-always had clear skin on my face, but suddenly out of nowhere MY ENTIRE FACE ERUPTED WITH ACNE
-been on BC 3 times over the span of 2 years, yaz for 1 month, gained some weight,.......after my face
Acne problems showed up a year later i decided to try alesse for 2 months, no symptoms,
Acne on face worsened, demulen for 1 month, ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE, every symptom imaginable, worst month ever, still dealing with the consequences.
-dry hair that won't grow
-ridges in nails
-puffy cheeks and neck
-bloated, constipated
-hypothyroidism (high t3, stress hormone i think..?) this was only detected by a naturopath, doctors tests I'm always in the "normal range" despite having every thyroid symptom.
-high testosterone (androgens)
-fatigue
Ive taken tons of supplements nothing has really ever been cured. I don't have the slightest ED anymore, i consider myself lucky that it was more of a passing phase for me and that is rare. I eat a healthy organic diet.
I suspect that the stress in my life and unorganized living messed a lot of things up. My hormones are unbalanced, have hypothyroidism, anemia, but i suspect weak kidneys as well and definitely a congested liver.
Will i ever have clear skin, no under-eye bags, and glossy long hair? Will i ever look/feel normal? Has anyone had the same problems?
