On low stomach acid

On one of my juicing websites, the site owner says that if your urine or poo is red after eating beets, it means you have low stomach acid. (and I only juice them!)

Well, it is and I probably do. But, other than recommending eating more fermented foods (I am), it didn't say much of anything else about how to remedy that.

As I'm trying to move away from the "take something" mindset..what would you all suggest to increase stomach acid?

I know most people suggest "taking" betaine HCI, or digestive enzymes, but I remember reading some of Uny's posts about that not being the right thing to do either.

Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks.
