well, i just dont believe in superstitions is all. i believe in what works.

perhaps you are fearful. words are very powerful tools, both for creation and destruction. the people using these words way back then understood that.

when i see a prohibition against some behaviour in the bible i dont look at the letter, i look at the spirit, just as jesus did, who broke the letter of the sabbath according to men who like to point fingers to make themselves look righteous at someone elses expense. however he did not violate the spirit one iota.

so what is the spirit of those prohibitions? they are against people who want to cheat, get an advantage over others, get ahead in this world, etc.

learn the WHOLE law of god. against love, there is no law. once you do that then men cannot hold you captive in fear and weigh you down with restrictions that are meaningless.
