I found this analysis of French Sea Salt from a website:

I am using Biogreen 84 French Sea Salt and I am doing well. The poop content... well I would think that the sea is always and has always been filled with poop. The point maybe that poop in ancient salt mine is not as "fresh" and has been more completely decomposed, and so there seems to be less to worry about.
