Furthermore I have read some of your posts where you said you were lipbalm free for 1 1/2 years and the crusts keep on growing and growing...

well mine isn't like that there is just a clear crust which turns white when comes in contact otherwise is hard like a protective layer. and it is quite easy to peel off when it is wet or not

Even if "scab" isn't the right word for it...it is basically doing the right purpose protecting my lip as new skin grows and oh yeah when I peeled off my crust last week due to a social event I noticed new skin growing underneath.

If you have a better explanation on what this is please enlighten us :)
